Happy New Year to you all! I hope it brings you all good health and much happiness.
The year has started well for Boundary Post with many contributions from new as well as loyal members. Phil is on part 16 of his series of BCN Junctions and has just a few left to do.He has a new series in mind so we have something to look forward to there. Work Party reports are now headed by Mike Rolfe who has taken over from John Edmonds, so do get in touch with Mike and go and have a bit of fun on Phoenix. I never cease to be surprised when it comes to contributors for Boundary Post. Last year I was appealing for items of interest concerning 1968 and the start of BCNS. Since then I have been contacted by Colin Sidaway who was there at the very beginning. You can read his memories on page 11. I'm very pleased to report on the re-introduction of the BCN 24 hour Marathon Challenge. After 7 years since the last one there should be many of you who have waited eagerly for its return. I remember being a scrutineer on the 2002 final Challenge. There are some things you remember, one being the 'dancing' Wilderness boats. They always entered as a group and were most entertaining. The other interesting entry was motor Ben and butty St Austell entered as a pair. Rupert Smedley is selling Ben. Maybe whoever buys it will enter the Challenge and recreate that year! In last edition I said what a busy year 2008 had been now it would appear that 2009 will be just as full of interesting events - see you on the Explorer Cruise? Brenda
